My Money My Destiny makes financial services available to the communities which most need help. It is led by community leaders. It is supported by financial services companies. We came together to remove the obstacles so that individuals and families can gain control over their money and, therefore, gain better control over their destiny. In so doing, financial security can be felt in communities which not known such security.
The program is led by a core group of impassioned community leaders and finance professionals who are dedicated to the idea of inclusion, social equity, and empowerment by enabling financial wellbeing for every member of our community.

My Prosperity Portfolio for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Providing New Opportunities For Financial Wellness
A lack of financial inclusion for Black Americans exists at every level of our financial system. Nearly one-half of Black households in the US are excluded from access to traditional financial services leading to what is an enormous gap in wealth between the Black and white communities. People with lesser financial means lack access to this country’s world class wealth management services, further preventing them from accumulating wealth through investing. This economic disadvantage has led to American Black families having less financial security and diminished ability to fully participate in the economy, as they are unable to save and insure themselves against risks. This reality helps explain why the wealth gap is unchanged across half a century since the civil rights era of the 1960s.
